Meet spitfire coach Julie Couret. This New Orleans native is known for her straight shooting and highly intuitive approach to eliminating the workplace drama that keeps executives up at night. Her dynamic professional journey is the foundation of her ability to solve issues quickly.
Julie’s deep connection to Operations stems from her time as a Walt Disney World Transportation Operations Manager, beginning in 1999. Her leadership grit was clear in 2001 as she navigated the chaos and sudden policy/procedure changes that resulted from the 9/11 attacks.
Facilitation and culture-setting are natural skills of Julie’s. In 2001, she competed against hundreds to join an elite “Disney Traditions” Corporate trainers team. Taking life’s steps two at a time, she worked full-time while earning her B.A. in Business Management and M.A. in Organizational Management. Her natural inclination of entrepreneurial leadership shining bright, Julie was selected to be Walt Disney World’s first-ever Regional Recruiter for the Disney College Program for the Gulf South.
In 2005, she led her multi-state team in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, straight out of her own traumatic helicopter rooftop rescue and the death of her Grandfather. Unequivocally committed to her purpose, Julie doubled down to rebuild her life while working – and people noticed. She soon became a well-respected resource in her region & was tapped to speak and educate.
In January 2011, Julie launched her full-time Executive Coaching firm. Julie’s unabashedly candid approach cuts through the noise and gets to the decision. Business owners call Julie because they know she can deliver results. Her insistence on practical, proven solutions to issues is why she is known to many as “The Executive Coach for Real People.” She uses her straightforward brand of coaching to help employees recognize and overcome counterproductive habits in a way that changes their behavior long after her work is done.
Julie doesn’t shy away from sharing her own challenges, growing pains, and mistakes as a leader. She’s not afraid of what she could have done better and doesn’t want her clients to be, either. In fact, Julie’s not afraid of much. She instills courage and stick-to-itness in her clients. Julie is as relatable as she is inspiring.
